Helloooooooooo..............
I first visited the site below a few years ago; I've found it a veritable treasure trove of very giving hypno uber-experts and fascinating, often well-spoken visitors. They tell it like it is, but with heart. :)
After being out of touch for awhile, I redicovered it. I believe the moderators are master practitioners in the northwest... here's the link to the boards, which are free:

Re: My favorite hypnosis site & chat
Tue, July 19, 2005 - 11:29 PMHey Jewel,
I just checked out the site...it's pretty good. The site design itself could be a little more appealing but there are definately good topics and conversations going on, though maybe not as deep and probing as on here! Hah! As a practicioner, it's good to know of a site where I can direct people to pursue other questions they may have. I'll have to really peruse it to see if the opinions are sound. At first glance it seemed so, on a clinical level and there was some humor too.
Thanks,
Bella -

Re: My favorite hypnosis site & chat
Mon, April 2, 2007 - 11:06 AMHi bella :)
Glad you enjoyed that one --
Here's another interesting hypno site
www.geocities.com/dibragero...pnosis.htm
There's a lot of self-hypno info there; I think that's useful, but overall I would say self-hypnosis is probably best used in addition to hiring a hypnotherapist. I think the "surprise" factor of following someone else's suggestions (as opposed to one's own), probably speeds the process.
I say this since I think the risk of self-hypnosis is coddling oneself, maybe 'cheating' a bit, etc. Also - it's much harder to 'surprise' yourself out of a pattern (speaking NLP here) -- since in self-hypno, you already/ always know what's coming. ;)
