    Hi Alura

For personal stuff I tend to use variations of the Betty Erickson Inductions

I also like the following phrases

"And the more I relax, the deeper I go
the deeper I go, the more I relax"

    What's working for you?

I think self-hypnosis is great, but there's no substitute for being someone else's subject...

That way your mind can be totally relaxed, just receiving.

I think the element of surprise in having the (unknown) script come to you fresh, from another person, is useful too. I think it reduces resistance.

But self-hypnosis is great for making additional headway on something...

Sometimes I'll customize and amplify an existing script I find online, to use as an affirmation later.

    Hello,
I have ordered a book about self-hypnosis . Someone have given me a detailed review about this book and it seemed very good, explaining all the process.
But all comes to the most important point IMO; that is geting into trance.
In this review , apparently the techniques in the book are classical ones...so I was wondering if I could use some of my oldCD's for relaxation and hypnosis.
I am working with Hemy-sync. (human plus) and a Cd for trance inducing By Mark Cunningham.
I have achieve very good results with both ( I cannot tell if I am really hypnotysed but I have achieved a deep level of relaxation and beeing focused at the same time thatI have never felt before).
The other day I tryied to shift from my habitual practice of meditation to the same state as I mentioned above and I was very near.
I have been practicing meditation and Qigong for many years so I think this has also helped
Well, this is the approach I am following.
I will post more about my experiences when I receive my book and start practicing

Yes, indeed....much to say on all this and will have to respond more in full another time, but the best way to design your own self hypnosis scripts is to create first a little map of what you want to achieve from the self-hypnosis. Intention satements etc. and make a list of power words that you feel inspired or motivated by. Think of how you can connect these words, concepts, ideas, visuals etc to the subject at hand that you wish to empower, heal or whatever it is. Assess your suggestibility type, whether you are more influenced by direct or indirect suggestion or an equal mix of the two or an analyticall modality, also whether you are more visual, kinesthetic, aural or conceptual....in what order....it can be the mood of the moment. When you have these basic things together you can cater to these aspects of your suggestibility in the way you form your suggestions. It's best to record your script when you have written it down. You can also speak it out loud but it is generally easier to absorb and surrender to when you can let go and listen.

    More soon.....
